Ronald Earl Hendricks, age 78, passed away May 14, 2018 at Metro Hospital. Ron was born November 1, 1939, in South Haven, the son of Carroll and Emma (Foley) Hendricks. A veteran, Ron proudly served his country in the United States Navy, later, he was employed as an inspector for Atwood for thirty eight years, retiring in 2002. Ron was an avid fisherman who loved being outdoors, he enjoyed going to the library, garage sales, and flea markets. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge, a vinyl album enthusiast, and loved his sweets. Ron is survived by his son, Terry (Annette) Hendricks; his daughter, Teresa Rathburn; grandchildren, Lizzy, Dwain, Willie, Gary, Megan, Jennifer, Karrin, Kristen, Terry Jr., Amber and Christina; several great grandchildren; a close cousin, Patricia Blossom; and a close nephew, Jim Allen; as well as several other nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, the former Mabel L. Allen on July 14, 1997. Ron's family will receive friends Thursday, 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the Beeler-Gores Funeral Home where his funeral service will be conducted Friday, May 18, 2018, 11:00 AM, Pastor Tony Shumaker, officiating. Burial will take place in Robbins Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to the American Heart Association will be appreciated.
