Delton

Rex Vance Allen passed away January 31, 2018. Rex was born March 18, 1953 in Grand Rapids, the son of Richard V. and Lillian L. (McKelvey) Allen. A lifelong resident of the Delton area, Rex enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, hunting, and spending time at the Moose Lodge, TuJax, and the VFW with friends. He worked at FlexFab in Hastings for over 42 years, retiring in 2015. Rex enjoyed people and people enjoyed him. Rex is survived by his daughters: Carmony Allen, RexAnne (Lawrence Pitts) Hertgers, Jenna Allen, and Courtney Plank; brothers: Danny (Louise) Allen and Glenn (Beverly) Allen, grandchildren: Kendra and Joshua Snider, Devyn and Kaidence Pitts, Sophia and Lillian Plank, and several nieces and nephews. Rex was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of life service will be conducted Saturday, April 7, 2018, 4:00 PM at the Delton Moose Lodge.
