Anna passed away November 30, 2017. Anna was born April 13, 1941 in Detroit; the daughter of Oscar William and Lily (Peterson) Eklund and was a 1959 graduate of Portland High School. On May 14, 1960, Anna married the love of her life: Gary Munson, whom she met while in high school. Together they owned and operated the Munson-Beardsley Insurance Agency in Delton from 1971 - 1977, and later Anna was employed as an office manager and insurance agent in Hastings. A co-founder of the Barry County Tea Party and on the executive committee of the Barry County G.O.P., Anna was also secretary treasurer of the Delton Athletic Boosters. A resident of Crooked Lake for forty eight years, Anna enjoyed quilting, and Anna and Gary enjoyed traveling in their travel trailer and riding on their Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. Anna is survived by her husband: Gary, sons: Kevin John (Ronda) Munson and Dennis Eugene Munson, a daughter: Sherri Lynn Munson, brothers and sisters: Leonard (Donna) Eklund, LaVerne Wellman, Martha Chartrand, and John (Kathy) Eklund, seven grandchildren: Ashley, Janelle, Jason, Eric, Whitney, Carly, and Nathan, five great grandchildren: Brayden, Ean, Colby, Parker, and Dylan, and several nieces and nephews. Anna was preceded in death by her parents. Anna’s family will receive friends Wednesday, 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton. Her funeral service will be conducted Thursday, December 7, 2017, 11:00 AM, at Thornapple Valley Church, 2750 S M-43, Hastings.
