Obituary for Allie S. Watkins Jr.

Watkins, Allie S. Jr.
Plainwell

Allie passed away July 25, 2017 at Allegan General Hospital. Allie was born August 9, 1921 in Wayland; the son of Allie S. and Cecil (Ogden) Watkins. A veteran, Allie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Allie was also a Kalamazoo Police Officer and he was a millwright and a loyal employee of Allied Paper Corporation for many years. Allie was a resident of the William Crispe Community House for the last six years loved working on and building cars. Allie married the love of his life, the former Lois Randel and together they had five children. Allie is survived by children: Barb (Kerry) Simonton of Parchment, Bob (Dodi) Watkins of Mattawan, Allie S. (Evie) Watkins III of Plainwell, and Kathy Fenstemaker of California, eight grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. Allie was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter: Connie. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions to William Crispe Community House, Plainwell will be appreciated.
