Maxine V. Phillips passed away June 22, 2017, at Thornapple Manor in Hastings. Maxine was born January 14, 1924, in Nashville, Michigan, the daughter of John and Gladys (Little) Dull. Maxine was a loyal employee of Delton Kellogg Schools in the Food Service Department for many years. Maxine was also a member of Hickory Corners Wesleyan Church. On December 24, 1943, at her parents’ home, Maxine married the love of her life, Robert Phillips, and he preceded her in death on May 30, 2001. Maxine is survived by a daughter, Judy (Don) Bever, a sister, Doris Peck, a sister in law, Montiel Dull, six grandsons and one granddaughter, several great grandchildren, a special niece, Donna Mikesell, and several nieces and nephews. Maxine was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Trudy Hiscock, a sister, Marjorie Hill, and brothers, John and Raymond Dull. Maxine’s family will receive friends Sunday, 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton, where her funeral service will be conducted Monday, June 26, 2017, 1:00 PM, Pastor Len Davis, officiating. Burial will take place in East Hickory Corners Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Thornapple Manor Life Enrichment Fund or Hickory Corners Wesleyan Church will be appreciated.
