Roy E. Marshall of Shelbyville passed away May 25, 2017. Roy was born March 27, 1931 in Puncheon Creek, Kentucky; the son of Eddie and Vina (Risner) Marshall. A timber buyer in the logging industry; Roy enjoyed woodworking, especially building bird houses and giving them away, his bird houses are all over the country. Roy also loved the Cleveland Indians, listening to Bluegrass Music and gardening. A member of Orangeville Baptist Church, most of all, Roy loved his family. On October 16, 1954; Roy married the love of his life; the former Doris Bernier who survives. Roy is also survived by his children: Janet Marshall, Cathy (Chris) Shell, John (Kathy) Marshall, and Dan Holmes, a brother: Clayton (Nancy) Marshall, four grandchildren: Amber Wisneski, Talona Berner, Kaitlin Marshall, and Jacob Marshall, three great grandchildren: Bobbi Hunter, Austin Hunter, and Morgan Morrissey, and several nieces and nephews. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Cledys Marshall, and sisters: Ruth Ella Warren and Leeveecha Warren. Roy’s family will receive friends Tuesday, May 30, 2017, 11:00 - 1:00 PM at Orangeville Baptist Church, where his funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Pastor Dan Bowman, officiating.
