On February 25, 2017, Lynn went to be her Lord and father after an eight year battle with cancer.
Lynn was born January 30, 1973 in Hastings, the daughter of Charles and Shirley (Jones) Altoft. A 1991 graduate of Delton Kellogg High School, Lynn was a stock room manager at BCN Technical Services in Hastings for over twenty two years. Lynn loved her pristine home, where she enjoyed cleaning, doing yard work and mowing several times a week. Most of all, taking care of her children and grandchildren was a great joy to her. On June 22, 1996, Lynn married the love of her life, Daniel Gilbert, who survives. Other members of her family include a son: Daniel Gilbert, daughters, Abbie Gilbert, and Elizabeth Gilbert, her mother: Shirley Altoft, a brother: Tim Altoft, sisters: Pam Altoft and Kim Varney, her father in law and mother in law: Jim and Kathy Lohrberg, nine grandchildren: Caleb, Brianna, Camryn, Carter, Gretta, Bobby, Alyssa-Beth, Sevyn and Christian, and several nieces and nephews. Lynn’s family will receive friends Wednesday, 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton, where Lynn’s funeral service will be conducted Thursday, March 2, 2017, 11:00 AM, Pastor Dan Bowman, officiating. Burial will take place in Brush Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions to West Michigan Cancer Center will be appreciated.
