Dwane passed away January 21, 2017. Dwayne was born August 4, 1936 in Hope Township, the son of Carl and Lydia (Peake) Watson. A landscaper, Dwane was employed by several landscape companies in the area. In his later years, Dwane truly enjoyed working at a horse farm. A CB radio enthusiast, Dwane’s handle was Bull Frog. A former member of the Delton Moose Lodge, Dwane helped build their current building. On February 3, 1955, Dwane married the love of his life: the former Carlene Johnson, who survives. Dwane is also survived by daughters: Julia (Jack Gonzales) Harper and Debora (Devin) Botimer, a daughter in law: Marcia Watson, siblings: Betty May, Joyce Mason, Ann Armstrong, Ron Rohm, LaVern Rohm, and Hubert Rohm, grandchildren: Joseph Harper, Matthew Harper, John Watson, Tiffany Watson, Jeffrey Pickle, Brenda Higdon, Nicole Botimer, and Zachary Petrose, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Dwane was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Jeffrey Watson on December 19, 1990, and brothers: Donald Watson and Raymond Rohm. Dwane’s family will receive friends Tuesday, 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton where his funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 11:00 AM, Pastor Jeff Worden, officiating. Burial will take place in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Those who wish to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the needs of the family.
